Trike build with windjammer 4

An absolutely amazing project. A great mesh of so many different cycle parts. What made you choose the Windjammer as part of the project? From a design perspective you must have had some inspiration or influence from somewhere?

Ever since my first trike ive drawn designs that I liked. So it's totally original . I was never drawn to other fairings and being 69yo i recall the windjammer well. One came up for sale, it had been on a vintage bike in a museum in Brisbane Australia for 40 years, perfect condition for $160AUD $110USD. BARGAIN. I added the side lights. I like originality and plan is to ride it to shows. I'm making a camper trailer now.

For those interested I swapped motorcycles on this trike. All Honda Fury's in Australia have ABS brakes. It is very difficult to add a 3rd wheel to ABS and you should get Transport approval prior to modifying it and approval might not be given as the law states "ABS cannot be removed nor modified". I could have spent thousands and still get knocked back. So I purchased a Honda VTX1800C with only 13,000 kms, like new. I've swapped the bikes over. It was really easy as the driveshaft was identical as was many other things, the horsepower changes from 57 to 95+ and the trike being 600kg plus 250kg for the camper trailer it was a wise decision. I'm not far off putting the windjammer back on after modifying it for the wider forks. In a few months it will be back to the engineer.

Love this pics you post of your project. Keep em coming. That is a significant jump on HP. You will notice that for sure!

Yes Kynan it will be.

Will keep it. The easiest way to match the orange (2011 fury colour matt metallic orange) it to get a few decals. The budget doesnt extend to repaint. The cost of the vtx wasnt expected. So maybe subtle flames ... and they'll cover a few scratches

Trike is finished with vtx1800c bike. Fury has abs brakes which was problematic due to Aussie rules. More power.

Well done Tony, that's a serious project. Knowing AU regs & its petty bureaucracies as well as I do, an enormous achievement to get to street registration!!! Congrats & enjoy!!
