An absolutely amazing project. A great mesh of so many different cycle parts. What made you choose the Windjammer as part of the project? From a design perspective you must have had some inspiration or influence from somewhere?
Well done Tony, that's a serious project. Knowing AU regs & its petty bureaucracies as well as I do, an enormous achievement to get to street registration!!! Congrats & enjoy!!Trike is finished with vtx1800c bike. Fury has abs brakes which was problematic due to Aussie rules. More power.
I used clamps like this onto the frame then welded up mounts with angle steel. Must be strong. There's a frame made up that runs from the round tank mounts all the way to under the headlight that has a steel plate for one bolt. When I undo that bolt and the 4 side bolts under, the whole fairing lifts off. So all nuts are welded to those plates. Trike is 2 hours away atm, sorry only pics I haveCan you post some pictures of your mounting system? I'm about to start on a VTX 1300T. Dimensions are probably not the same but it would at least give me a few ideas.
