I have gone from a wow who would ride a bike with that on there, to well maybe just in the winter to stay warmer and ride more, to I like this it's staying.
Now that I'm leaving the wj on it needs to be rebuilt and painted to match the bike.
1st question... Anything I should know before tearing it down and repainting it?
2nd... has anyone tried DP100 as an expoxy to repair cracks? I know the other works but DP100 is considerably cheaper for me. I have used it for wire tie downs in the saddlebags so I beleive it does work just not sure how well.
Thanks guys.

What kind of cracks are you talking about? I have found that the black ABS glue works best. Lowes carries it and cost about $5.00. Spread the crack a little and get some of the glue inside and then let the crack close and dry. For large cracks, I back it with a piece of fiberglass material and use the glue as the fiberglass resin.

Cool that helps a lot. The fairing I'm going to redo isn't cracked that I'm aware of, I need to reattach the edge trim once I get it repainted.

I should add the v I am currently using is the one cracked trying to decide about repairing it too.

Really? Epoxy for the edge trim....this is why I asked, I would have tryed to use one glue for everything.
