I have an 81 Goldwing that I purchased this for. I found it locally and it appear to be in like new condition. It even has the lower side panels too.
I'm not putting it on until spring when I perform other upgrades such as tires brakes exhaust, and anything else that needs done.
Check out the serial number and the orange vetter lettering. It may have the highest serial number found and the plate seems to be from the next model?

Before installing it be sure and remove the running and turn signal light pods from the fairing. The glue used to attach the lens to the reflector dries out with age allowing the lenses to fall away with the slightest bump. It makes no difference if the fairing was stored in a climate controlled storage area. After I pulled the light pods out of my windjammer the lenses easily pulled away from the reflectors. I cleaned away the old dryed up glue which was easy and used 3M plastic emblem and trim adheasive to reattach the lenses to the reflectors. I also cleaned the light bulb sockets and tested the lights before reinstalling the pods in the fairing. That was 12 years ago and the lenses remain firmly attached to the reflectors.

Thanks for the heads up! I might get around to it this winter. Right now I'm thinking about replacing the timing belts and tensioners.
I also have to replace a leaking fork seal too. I'm sure the added weight of that fairing will change the ride as well as put more stress on the seals.
I've already replaced the old rubber brake lines with Galfer stainless braided front and rear. I highly recommend that modification.
I even managed to get a Hondaline rear frame for the luggage cases.
Altogether I bet it adds 60 odd pounds to the bike

I found a really nice vetter top case. The side cases are KG but they do look good with the Vetter top case.

I will hopefully be putting the fairing on this weekend. I got the timing belts done. The fork seal still weeps but oh well, I will eventually have to pull the leg completely off and either replace it or find out why it's leaking

I finished mounting the fairing aftermarket work today. It looks good and after a short ride I think it works good too. I still need to connect the stereo and a USB port but that will come in time.

I put the lowers on today. They look good and provide more wind protection but are not great with the highway pegs.

That Nighthawk looks sharp! Flows real good with the combo you put together.
