Hello VOGers.

Sadly the forum doesn't get the traffic it once did. However, I am still going to continue to keep it alive. I had not noticed the issues with posting images, as I have not posted images myself for sometime. The image embed and attach functions now work again. So feel free to post images.

The forum was also updated to the newest version of Xenforo, and all the plugins thanks to my friend Andy at XF2 Addons.

I still think there is a lot of Vetter love out there. Perhaps features not working on this forum has kept people from sharing their Vetter adventures.

Myself, I ended up moving to Idaho in late 2017 and at that time sold all my bikes and Vetter stuff (regrets). However, 5 years later I moved back to Bakersfield, CA and just got my 79 XS11 back. Sadly there is no Vetter goods on it anymore. So, if I want to Vetterize it, I will be on the search once again.

If you vetterans or new folks notice any issues or would like any other features please let me know.

Thank you for keeping us active! I'm still here daily, if not more.

I haven't done anything with my Nighthawk because I now have an ST1300 and two ST1100s

Thank you Larry. We really had this place hopping at one point. It seemed like there was a rebirth of Vetter fans young and old. I am not sure why it tapered down. Maybe the admin (me) not being as involved, or losing some of our most active members like Steppenwolf. Could be many reasons. People get into something, get burned out, then move on. However, in the forum world it seems that when one exits, another stumbles in......

Well, we are still here, and will preserve Craig's legacy.

Sadly, Vetter gear has fallen out of style. On some forum somewhere, someone posted "Will Windjammers every be cool again?" Today they just end up in dumpsters. That is where I have scavenged a few. I don't think that they ever stopped being cool.

Thanks for keeping the site going. I find it a useful resource.

Keep up the effort. Hard enough to be a life long Vetter owner over the years. The Terraplane had just over 900 on the road in its day. I’ve yet to see another one in person.

M/C mfg got into the touring accessory market in the 80’s and killed the likes of Craig, Bates, Calafia.

Good to see some activity. Spring is here. Let’s get out of our caves and write and ride.

It's funny you say that or saw that. That exact statement is what motivated me to start this forum 12 years ago.

I saw this video on Youtube and I said, hell yeah they will be cool again, they were never not cool. Then, the VOG forum was born.

Today, I still think the Windjammer looks super cool and is iconic in the history of Motorcycles.

I’m always on the look out for a Windjammer but the older GL1000 that used to have Windjammers on here in Sweden, now usually get renovated back to showroom condition, and all the extra gadgets like fairings, trunks and luggage gets either thrown away or stuffed way back in the garage.

Good that this forum still is alive although it would be fun if more posters would contribute with pictures or stories.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers/Kjell

I have a complete set for sale - sort of. Sold my kz1000. I never rode behind anything but Vetter. Hate to get rid of it but no real use other than nostalgia.

@terry
Thank you Sir for your very kind offer.

However, me being situated in Sweden and You who I presume being located in the U.S. would by effect prevent any such affairs.

I’m talking about the cost of shipping such huge parts from your part of the world to my neck of the woods.

Sadly that fact also prohibits me from buying parts on eBay and similar sites.

Again, thank You Terry
