My first real road bike was a 1980 CB750F with what the pilot owner called a European Handling Kit : Lowered bars, rear set pegs and a Quicksilver Fairing. I rode that bike for a couple of years out in the prairies where it was all about straight line speed(I know that bike isn’t fast but it was fast enough for me at the time). Then I moved to the mountains and learned about curvy roads. The first summer living at the Columbia Ice Field, I took the motor out of the bike and dropped it off at Cycle Works in Edmonton. They installed a Wiseco 823 big bore kit, Hindle 4-1 exhaust and a K&N stage 1 jet kit and filter. That added some zip! Unfortunately 2 summers later I got forced off the Bow Valley Parkway (twistiest road in Banff National Park) and smashed the fairing, bent the front wheel but walked away. The tire still held air and duct-tape held the fairing together till I got home and removed it, going back to the original round headlight naked style until I sold it. So now I’m buying an 84 CB750SC Nighthawk with the same Quicksilver fairing! What could be the worlds lowest maintenance motorcycle 😎
The CB750F picture is not mine but that’s exactly what it looked like.

The CB looks amazing with the Quicksilver on it! There were certain bikes that faring just look so cool on. The Mystery Machine pretty much has the Quicksilver on it.
