Good work.
In terms of the pinch weld trim with the chrome strip, ive seen guys here obtain it but if you can't you'll notice ive installed plain pinch weld and added a generic 5mm chrome strip below it. Nobody is going to criticise you for going a bit off original.

Btw the soft cover LHS , i cut a piece of acrylic slightly longer than the hole and flexed it so it bent on a curve. It raises the soft cover nicely

So I obtained a backrest pad for the trunk, got everything wired up and put some miles on it...Even rode it to work a couple times, first day coming home I got rained on, REALLY hard...Next morning the bike started up and I rode it to work again...Got done for the day and the bike would crank but not fire off...Eventually tried the kick starter and it fired up on the third kick...Breathed a sigh of relief, bumped it off the centerstand and front brake was almost locked up...Got it freed up some, rode it home and it hasn't moved since...New caliper, pads, and rotor arrived yesterday, I'll replace all that stuff this weekend...

I did get my 10 year old grandson out with me on one of the short test rides...He likes it better than my '15 GL1800 F6B...The CB750 seat is a LOT narrower, and he likes the backrest/trunk better than the short backrest on the F6B...

Leave the bike in the sun. Its wet in there somewhere. Brake piston likely rusted up
