Just acquired Terraplane #000930 attached to 2003 BMW R1500RT touring bike. Looks like it never had a brake system and four-bar mounting brackets were installed by Hannigan. Getting bike back on the road after being stored for several years. Looking for wheel cap for original wheel or alternate setup to protect bearings from dirt.

Welcome from SE Pennsylvania.

Not entirely up to date on serial numbers. Your #930 and Mike324’s #920 are close to the last TPs built. Let’s see pics.

When I got this car, I actually poured dust out of calipers. Took a year to get around finding replacement parts, but took system off after a couple of months. Applying car brake at speed made caliper ride up around disc, raising the car and pushing bike to left. Not sure what’s different about this rig. Maybe aftermarket shock? Don’t remember my identical ‘82 acting like that.

I bought show chrome lug nut cover for castle nut. Good for looks, but doesn’t cover bearing outer race like the original cap. Would like to know what others have “hacked”.
