Grasshopper
Greetings. Like many, I'm retrofitting my aging friend ('83 Virago XV920k refit with a KJS Single Carb Manifold kit) with a special find. Located a Windjammer (III), and separately, a 920 mount; adding a Vetter sound box as well. Bought in '05 with about 4k on it. Being my only transportation while I was back in school ('05-'09), it's now up around 18k. So I put it in the shop for some much needed love (tuneup/valves/brakes/tires/bag guards/fairing/stereo). Still need to deal with that pesky starter... ($$$). Someday. Not currently in the budget.
The bike has been with my wrench in Chicago (former home) for over a year (delays include my funding and his health), but looking ride it back to VA in Sept., with a layover in KY to see family and make a HS class reunion. In the meantime, I need to find specs for the sound box, so I can buy a set of speakers for it (4"? 5"?). I'm pretty sure someone around this list has something similar. Looking to learn a lot from fellow Vetter owners. Nowadays, I will have to lock it up to keep it from becoming a parts bike on eBay.
