Welcome. Good to see another Brit on here!

Have been looking for years but am still yet to see another vetter fairing on the road.

Just about to head off on another adventure .... This time north and the Arctic Circle

When are you off and what's the route?

I've been starting to plan my next European trip for a few years time (after a house restoration). Ferry to Oslo & then north up the Norwegian coast to Reine, would love to see some photos of where you end up!

I agree, adventures ridden on old iron retain aspects and attributes that are lost or hastily discarded with newer equipment in the name of progress.

Although I might look into Vetter-izing my '20 Royal Enfield Interceptor for 2024.

I think a Windjammer would look and function great on one of the newer Enfields. Just have to fabricate the bracket.

Oh it's in Germany, sorry I don't use Facebook. "Minor fractures" does downplay the situation. I hope you'll be ambulatory soon if not already.

Can you tell us the circumstances of the accident? Also, I just sent a request to join your FB group.

I guess you're Kenneth ?

It was a rear wheel blowout. Instant deflation and sent the backend wobbling which quickly translated into a front end "tank slapper". The camber was against me (the outfit is obviously set up for the UK) and as I was already riding on the inside lane, before I knew it I was on the hardshoulder, then the grass verge and then the ditch .

It's probably taken my longer to write out what happened than for te actual accident to take place .... Lol !!
