I'm looking for lowers to fit my Windjammer V which will be going on my '77 CB750.. In the research I've done, the lowers for the WJ-V are specific to that fairing...They won't fit earlier fairings, and earlier lowers won't fit on the WJ-V....And the lowers for the WJ-V that are for the CB750 (Type 52, which I can't find for sale, or evidence that any were ever even made) are for the '79 - up DOHC CB750 models...Has anyone made a set of Type 53, 54, 55 lowers work on a SOHC CB750??...I know the ones for the GL models and CX500 won't even be close to fitting right around the engine due to the different layouts...But other inline four bikes might be a good starting point??...🤷‍♂️

Ok so I bought the type 53 lowers off ebay, and this morning put the WJ-V on the bike ('77 CB750) and started fitting them to it...Right side needed quite a bit more trimming than the left side, and of course I don't have the bolts and had to dig through my random bolts to find anything close, and one of the inserts is missing from the fairing...Not sure where to find another one of those, the link to the hardware kit on the Vetter sight is dead...Anybody got a lead on those, and also what's the correct bolts that hold the lowers to the fairing??...

One of the inserts in the fairing to attach them was missing, so I measured the hole with calipers and found new wellnuts on Amazon, bought those along with 5mm screws....This morning I pulled the old wellnuts out and replaced them with the new ones, bolted the lowers back on with the new screws and saw that I still needed to do more trimming....Several sessions of trim a little, bolt back on, pull back off, trim a little, etc etc...And I still have a couple spots that need a bit more material removed....But I can tell already that with them fitting better it's easier to get the screws started when bolting them on, just gotta sneak up on it....

Those rubber well nuts can often be found at your local hardware store. Be careful with them. People tend to significantly over-tighten them. Doing so can easily pull out the brass inserts in them. You want to tighten them just until they are firm and the lowers aren't sloppy.
