1979-81 vetter trunk mount in search of....
Does anyone have a clue where I might find one to fit 79 A model?
I already have bags..

Can't tell from your pic, but does your bag mount have an integrated luggage rack? The trunk will mount to most any luggage rack, Vetter or other. http://www.craigvetter.com/images/V...djammer_instructions/Tail Trunk Inst704kb.pdf

It needs the complete rack that bolts to bike frame at shock towers and frame rail under seat area flaring up behind seat to accommodate the brackets in the PDF you attached...

There should have been a luggage rack with the saddlebag mounts. A PO may have decided he/she didn't want one and discarded it years ago. I have the rack and struts that (supposedly) came off of a Honda CB900, but no idea if they are the same, or close enough to work, or totally different.

So little info available on differences in the mounts construction.

Mine is solid, no struts..

It is available but very hard to find...

From what I can see of the rack in your last pic this looks very similar, although in rough shape.
