Hello from Southern California

Hello Everyone,

Before June of this year I didn't know anything about Vetter fairings or that they even existed. I was cruising around on eBay and saw a pretty slick 79 KZ1000ST with the full faring setup. I placed an insanely low bid that I thought would get beat in about 5 milliseconds, but an hour later I won the auction and then immediately had to explain to my wife that we had to go to Buffalo, NY from Wisconsin to pick up a motorcycle that I had "accidentally" bought. All of this happened about two weeks before my job was moving us back home to California. It was an interesting time. After owning the bike for a little over 3 months I'm very happy with the fairing setup and the saddlebags are great. I'm not sold on the trunk just yet which is why it's still sitting on my workbench waiting for some wiring to be done.

All in all i'm looking forward to whatever this forum has to offer.

Welcome to the VOG! It must have been interesting to pack up and move with that bike to California. The last time I moved I swore if I ever had to move again I'd just set it all on fire and collect the insurance. Then buy everything new after the move. We love pictures here on VOG.

Thank you! The move was interesting. We sold everything that didn't fit in our cars or on my little 4X8 trailer. I had already shipped my Triumph and had to last minute set up shipping for the KZ. It all worked out tho.
