Learning the Ropes
Over the past 3 or 4 weeks I started sanding stuff and getting primer shot...Yesterday I pulled the doors off the bags, lid and side panels off the trunk...Used a razor blade to remove all the decal striping, then sanded everything and got primer on those parts this morning...Still need to do the fairing, but waiting until I pick a weekend to do color as the fairing is a bit more involved as far as masking the backside off so I don't get overspray on the side I look at while riding...Got the paint scheme 99% figured out in my head, going to go with how I did the gas tank almost a year ago...And thinking about possibly some gold leaf...I was pretty good at it 20-something years ago, and my wife found my supplies last weekend while cleaning a closet out...Forgot I even had that stuff!!..
