So, today was clean the shop day and work on the XS, amongst other home to-do's.

I have been trying to mount my Windjammer for several months now. If it's not the carbs, its needing to order new cam end plugs, then valve shims, then, then, then....

I put the bike back together, and of course the electric start didn't work, but it started with the kick starter.

Today, after 2 hours of reading somebody on xs11.com (best resource XS11 site ever) said that the electric start wont work unless the battery has full charge, and whell... he was right, charged the battery, electric start now works... Problem solved!

New problem.... need to sync the carbs... because it runs like crap after the carb rebuild.. never done this before without help... back to the books and YouTube tutorials.

Now I wait.... I wait for this Morgan carb sync tool.

Again another delay... So is life, in the meantime I just study and get ready for the next learning experience.

The image below just shows how sad the progress is.... o_O I think I went backwards!

Order a Gunson colortune as well!

What you do is sync.... Then colortune, then sync again.

They are tons of fun!

Helped my diagnose my bike a couple of times when I was backfiring at decel....and another time when I was popping at highway speeds.

My fuel mixes were off and I was able to see it by the colortune and revving.

According to XSforums... you want to tune your bike to where the flame is blue, BUT richen it just a bit more till you start to see orange tips on the blue flame.

Apparently thats what the XS likes.

Mine is running that way
