Modifying windjammer 4 for modern wide forks

As many of you know Im triking a Honda vtx1800C. It was a Honda Fury but... abs brakes standard in all Fury's here in Oz meant many issues triking it.
So, no trainer buy an 1800 and swap bikes.
A big issue was the width of the front forks. I hated cutting into the vettor but had no option. About 3/4 inch on each side needed. Body filler to seal the holes created.
Will look better once painted

Very cool, thanks for sharing the images. There wasn't really much of a choice to cut it. But, cleaned up and on the bike! Magnificent!

Yeh no choice. The batwing fairing are interior imo and they turn with the bars, not what I wanted.

Hate to be the guy to mention this, but thst body filler has a 99.9% probability of falling back out...It doesn't stick to plastic very well, especially when subjected to vibration, etc...A more permanent solution is to use some ABS sheet bent (heat gun) to fit and Permatex ABS epoxy to bond it in place...Not as quick and easy to work with, but I'd hate to see ya start riding and have that filler fall out with new paint on it and end up doing that job twice....

That's ok Bass. Actually appreciate you mentioning it. I'll take my chances now and if it does fall out there no harm done because wherever there's filler its painted black, not seen from an observers view. In Oz the engineering process is ridiculous so much $$ on the project hence the easy route here with filler in my garage handy. I'll have ongoing small projects to do once its on the road so I'll keep your post for that. Cheers Tony
