Turnbuckle moving on its own?

My turnbuckle appears to be pulling the bike to the sidecar on its own. It is essentially self-adjusting, and now the bike is pulling to the right. Shouldn't there be a locking bolt on each end?
My riding is regular on certain destinations, and I see no reason to adjust for speed or road conditions. I definitely don't want it adjusting or unwinding on its own.

Thanks

Mark the stationary and rotating parts with a Sharpie so you can see if anything is turning.

Are there any locking nuts? Could you have a broken mounting weld or clamp?

Thanks for the reply Larry. Everything looks like it is put together the way it should be, I've never owned a vetter, but I don't see lock nuts for this in the handbook or the manual.

And I can turn it even further towards the right, or lean it towards the right. With just one hand, I had to use a pipe wrench and reef on it to get it back where it belongs.

The whole thing is coming apart to have the sprockets changed for better performance with the sidecar. So I want to have something planned to improve on this. I have other bikes for other riding styles, this bike is mostly for in town and maybe short John's on and off nearby highway, never over 65 and typically 35 to 45 mph. So I found that the adjustment the mechanic put on it was really good, and would serve all my purposes without really needing to ever adjust it. I will never take this on a long trip. So I'm open for input on other people's design, and would love to see pictures. If all I need is some nuts- one on each end, I can figure that out.

Thanks again. I'm a newb, so any help is appreciated 👍

I wish mine turned that easy but is manageable with the wheel I added. I think it’s the TP’s best feature. I ride pretty much under 65. Bit of divided highway but mostly two lane at speed limits and curve warnings. I still find myself adjusting on the fly all the time. Anything to track straight. Easy enough to take a couple of pulls to counteract crowns and wind. Made a trip to Maine last year lots of long sweeping highway curves. Would lean the bike way off center and give my shoulders a rest.
