I’ve been looking for replacement trim grip boot. Seems all OEM are gone and maybe someone was 3D printing. Here’s my solution.

Fernco XL 1056-1502 Flexible Pipe Coupling 1-1/2” CI/Plastic/Steel to 1-1/2” CI/Plastic/Steel

Perfect length for center trim grip. Will now be searching for universal CV boot to poke in opening on car side. Until then am going to use split wire loom over the exposed threads. Will post a pic later this afternoon.

Here’s trim installed with new grip. I took it off to dress the threads. For the last 4 years I was happy to have working trim even if it took a slip wrench to turn it. Haven’t been out yet but I can now turn it by hand.

Only really change it these days between my self solo and not-wife riding behind me. No more long interstate runs for me. And backroad crowns around here change every hundred yards

One more try at attaching pictures

Not sure how I got that pic attached. That’s the best shot. Anyone with a TP doesn’t need to see the mount on my bike.

Figured out how to send pics. I might be dangerous now.

Wire loom wrap is too soft but good concept for easy grip.
