So I have a windjammer 5 and there curved piece that receives the threads of the headlight adjuster are stripped. Luckily I just switched to an led and was able
ble to use the controller module to hold the headlight up when the adjuster came out at night 100 miles from home! I'm thinking of drilling it out and putting a threaded insert in like this.

Anybody have a better idea?

That looks like it will work. Will you epoxy them in? Would like to see how this comes out. Thanks for sharing the idea.

Replacement parts from another fairing possibly? Maybe just a few layers of JB Weld on your damaged adjuster? JB Weld can be drilled and tapped successfully once cured.
