Just happened upon this . . .

That was entertaining. I have never owned a fiberglass Vetter fairing and every one I have owned I have restored all the way down to the plastic and back, nothing I would call a purpose placed stash box.
I did find a place in the left side of my later III to stash a spire set of keys for my XS, fairing and house. Hint, not much room up in there but doable.
Sorry, mum is the word, work at it, you will find a way.

Many, many, I'm talking many years ago, a friend of mine lost the key to his second hand CL 450 Honda. I advised him to go to the local Honda shop and they could help him out. According to him, they had the key he could borrow to make a duplicate, with a $50.00 deposit. In them days and at our then paygrade, $50.00 was more than half a paycheck. Disgusted and not in his right mind, he sold me the bike for $10.00. Just messing around, I tried my key and it worked! My key had a number that matched the number on his main switch. Being the righteous guy I was at the time, I returned his bike in exchange for the 10 bucks and let him make a duplicate of my key for nothing.
What we learned was, some bike dealers can be d**ks and there were a limited number of key model numbers available, you could try your key in someone’s bike and the odds were it would work. We spread the word and either relocated our switch to a hidden place or installed a toggle switch some place else.

While high, it was just a deposit to insure they got their key back. Basically 'loaning' the key for free (like AutoZones tool loan program.)
If you have the ignition lock number, a Honda dealer can cut a key.
Maybe, maybe not. I've read numerous posts where the dealer would refer to a locksmith or try to sell new locksets. YRMV!

That said, I strongly recommend having more than one key to ANY lock! A lot easier (and cheaper) to prepare than recover.
