Just found an old fairing I had

This was horrible to use. It came off something unknown, but approximately the same size as the GS, so fitted reasonably well, once I'd made a headstock support bracket. The lower extremities were bolted on with straps to the lower engine mounts. The top half was quite comfortable to sit behind, once I'd raised the windshield with a wedge packing piece.
No, what made it awful were those scalloped cut-outs halfway down the fairing. They actually channeled a high-speed jet of super-cooled air directly onto my knees, like an icy scalpel.

It stands testimony to designer short-sightedness and stupidity, and is a prime example of something produced by somebody who never actually used it in all conditions. I've no doubt the makers thought it was wonderful, in the summer.
I've never been able to verify this, but I think it was made by Acrybre in the UK.
