    Mike from Maryland Suzuki gs1100l

Hi from across the pond. I've got a '79 gs850g with windjammer V, fantastic combination. I made my own mount by cutting up a Honda 750 one in the end. It pushed the fairing futher forward than usual but meant I could keep the headlight fully assembled behind. I do alot of short distance rides...

    hello Vetter-owners and - friends

Welcome from Leicetershire, England. I rode through Belgium the year before last on my way down to the Med. Not a bad thing to say about the place and only met great people! Nice collection of bikes! Sam

Windjammer III or Windjammer SS Wanted

No spare here unfortunatly. Bought my last wj5 off Facebook marketplace for £35, just an hour up the m1 from me in Sheffield. When I've been looking people just list them as "motorcycle fairing" with no mention of vetter or windjammer! Just had a quick look and unfortunatly have seen nothing...

1978 Suzuki GS550 with Windjammer SS

Your bike looks great! You could eat your dinner off that lump! Did similar to my GS last winter, full nut & bolt resto. Have since re-built the top end this winter too. The 8v's are beautifull engines! Both to look at and ride. I kept all of the paint work on the tank, rear Cowell &...

Hi (again) as I used to be a member when this site first started ....

When are you off and what's the route? I've been starting to plan my next European trip for a few years time (after a house restoration). Ferry to Oslo & then north up the Norwegian coast to Reine, would love to see some photos of where you end up!

Welcome. Good to see another Brit on here! Have been looking for years but am still yet to see another vetter fairing on the road.

    New guy says Hi.

I made my fairing mount hold the fairing out far enough that the original light could remain in place, I then wired the vetter loom with matching connectors to my existing indicators/lights etc. It takes maybe 15 minutes to put on or remove the fairing. When I use the fairing I put the vetter...

Mounting brackets for a Windjammer SS on a 750 Maxim

I bought a welder to learn and this was my first project. I'm sure yours will look better than mine! If you go on the Craig Vetter website there are loads of homemade mounts to take inspiration from too. I'm doing a full resto on this bike currently, including having the frame powder coated...

Mounting brackets for a Windjammer SS on a 750 Maxim

Hi Uxbridge? Are you UK? Sorry for my crude images. My mount was off a Honda or some sort apparently (not a goldwing) and it clamped to the frame tubes at the front. I made some extensions to fit it to my GS850g as you can see (after 3 different mounting attempts this is rock solid!). I didn't...

    Hello from Leicestershire

I have made a new mount still different to the original Vetter mount. I thought I'd upload a picture in case anyone stumbles on this thread looking. Being 6'4 I've also made an adjustable screen extension as the 21inch screen I did have was just too short. I didn't like any pre-made ones so...

    Hello from Leicestershire

Thanks for the images! They are very different to what I started with & what I created! Do the U-bolt clamps pull the angle section into contact with the front of the frame? I'm guessing that is why the black paint has worn off.

    Hello from Leicestershire

Hi All I have owned a '79 Suzuki GS850g (amongst other bikes) for a fair few years now but have always wanted to use it for more distant rides because of how smooth & comfortable it is. When I set out looking for a screen last year I hadn't heard of Vetter but found one for sale 3 hours away...
