That look terrific. Nice Job. I have a 1978 Suzuki GS550 (not the L version). I was never able to find correct saddlebag brackets for mine, but rather had to adapt a set from a later model. Are your bracket made for your bike, or did you need to modify them?
Ken
It looks like you have a very complete set. I have two Suzuki's, a 1978 GS750 and a 1978 GS550. I think that the mounting bracket for the GS750 and GS850 are the same, but can't say for sure. I know that the lowers are different.
Happy to be of any help that I can.
Ken
I would be careful about those snap vents. It is not easy to get the holes cut correctly and you don't want to bugger a good windscreen. I have two Windjammers, one with vents, one without. I don't notice any functional difference between the two.
Good luck,
Ken
Craig would tell you himself that the mounting brackets themselves had no markings on them to indicate which bike they fit. After he sold the company, the new owners (Bell?) did put some labels on them, but they clearly stated the model. I have one that is marked CB750. The best way to know...
Kynan, are you talking about a new patch, or more of the ones that are shown at the top of this page? You were kind enough to send me one of those already.
Ken
Yes, it was a long drive, but I think it worked out well for both of us...and it saved a good Windjammer from the dumpster. It needs some restoration work, and I have no idea what I am going to put it on, but I always seem to find a use for them.
VFR Man, thanks for everything, it was great...
Sorry I haven't been in touch. I'm interested, but I am having a hard time clearing my schedule to make a run up there. The earliest I could make it is the first week of August. If you can't sit on it until then, I understand. Feel free to PM me.
Ken
I haven't worked on a Vindicator, but I have had many Windjammers. Those cracks are a pain, and difficult to repair durably. Depending on where on fairing and how much the spot shows, I have had some success with plastic epoxies. Craig also sells a "Hotcha Repair Kit" which works okay. I've...
There is a lot more information available for Windjammers than Liberators, just because of the numbers sold. Have you checked Craig's site?

I do know that windshields are still available...
The instruction for the CycleSound unit are available on Craig Vetter's website. They should help you reverse-engineer how to remove it. Use the link below. It is about a third of the way down the page on the left.
