    Star Wars and Vetter Luggage

Don't have Photoshop, not as pretty, but VOGS is coast to coast.;) Currently similar to "Banner bike." Still a 78, but black and 36 years older with original paint and "patina."

My Vetter Build 6 years in the making.

I had my hands on it when I originally posted. Haven't done anything with any tool trays, so it has to still be somewhere (buried under less than 2 months of accumulation.:()

Kinda Free To a Good Home, Vetter Luggage

I'm not a painter. I just scraped off the flaking chrome, sandpapered smooth and rattlecanned. Not the greatest looking but better than chrome/rust.

    Star Wars and Vetter Luggage

Vetter luggage coupled with a Bates Clipper fairing makes me think of Battlestar Galactia.

My Vetter Build 6 years in the making.

I have one that will cost you a road trip (ie come and get it.) Keep in mind if you go to a single carb setup, it will no longer fit. The single carb air filter will occupy the same space, at least on all the ones I've seen.

I think you and Terraplane Tom have a specific strain of MFS, known locally as VOG's.:D Unfortunately, (or not,) there is no known cure.:p

    Greetings from central Kansas

That's a Vetter Windjammer SS or IV with Honda emblems and mirrors affixed. AFAIK, no one has turn signals shaped like a Vetter SS, IV or V. Below is the OEM Honda fairing, or as Craig called it, a “Windjammer from Japan”

    Greetings from central Kansas

But those are "Honda" fairings, not Vetter. As Honda was making fairings by then, I find it VERY unlikely that Honda would have re-branded Vetter fairings as "OEM". IMHO, a PO did that!

    My new Old Vetter

Serial # is all telling, lighted side markers, not so much as was an option on the II. Craig or someone else will have to describe what the difference was between II and III. I've never seen a II up close.

Looking for bag mounting frame 75-79 GL1000

I think I have enough pieces to put one together. I'll give you 2 options. 1. $35.00 plus actual shipping. 2. Straight swap for the one you have, you pay shipping both ways.

    Honda GL1000 Saddle Bag Identification

I'd say neither, but closer to 90. If I was making one, I'd mount everything and "cut/bend to fit." Here's a pic of one mounted.

    Honda GL1000 Saddle Bag Identification

The first of measurement of what I have for identification. As Craig has documented on his website, few of the mounting parts are labeled. Hopefully this will help someone in identification or choosing which will be easiest to modify for their application.
