I see you have a '78 GL1000. The headlights on the Windjammers are the same size (7") as OEM on the early GL's (at least the 1000's and 1100's.) If you still had the OEM headlight, in '78 they were H4. Odds are against that still being with the bike though. Looking on-line the OEM H4 headlights...

I use Windows Paint to resize. Usually 600 to 1000 pixels wide works well for forum posts.

Sounds like a better route to take, but I still have concerns on the key codes. From the code ranges of the 'known' key codes, there are more than 2600 codes available. The VFxxx series I have yet to find for the double-sided key, so that's an unknown quantity beyond the 9 we know of. 1. 2600+...

I have seen several different 'styles' for the Windjammer, but AFAIK if it was for a WJ, it will fit any WJ. There were also models for other Vetter fairings. The only one made for 'non-Vetter' I've seen or am aware of, was for the OEM Hondaline fairing that was used on early 80's Goldwings and...

One caveat, the cabinet locks I pointed out do not usually have 'dust covers' over the keyhole. That said, a lot of the dust covers I've encountered were plastic and after ~30 years or so were fragile and crumbling. YRMV.

I do not have any cabinet lock key blanks. I think I found a blank for the VF-xxx keys, National Cabinet Lock D8777. Not having cut keys nor blanks in hand, I can't be 100% sure though. An Ilco 1527 may also work and be more readily available. So I see 4 different blanks needed depending on...

Problem is, won't do us much good if we can't identify/acquire a blank to duplicate them.:( The one I hand made was with a YM57 blank. Not pretty, but it works. I have no idea what the original key looked like. :(

Probably not restricted. More than likely low demand so most manufactures don't make and locals don't stock.

That was why I got into making keys for the old Goldwings. People couldn't find locals to cut them. In the case of Vetter product locks, so many different ones. I found some keys for the codes, but the "VF" series looks totally different...

Gotta love the Keymaker in Matrix! If anyone has duplicated keys, the key blank numbers could be useful. Tracking down information is proving to be 'futile' in some cases.
