IMHO, if that's what you got, you do not have a lock missing parts. :confused: You have some lock parts. :( Unless you have some compelling reason to try and make a lock out of that, you're better off replacing it. DIY stores have locks that will work (cabinet) for less than $10.

OK, I've just never seen those plastic covers. The recall ONLY affected the 1978 front wheel. They redesigned the spokes for 1979 and went back to aluminum. So...1978 front has steel spokes. 1978 rear, 1979 front, and 1979 rear have aluminum spokes.

Looking closer at the front wheel, I have 'NEVER' seen whatever these are on the wheel. Check if a magnet will stick to the spokes. If NOT, I would not use that wheel as it was recalled. I only say this because it's something I haven't seen before and I'm curious if it's an identifying...

I have a 'scrap' trunk with one lens left. This is the older style lights with a metal base, which looks like what you have. Pics can be taken on request.
