I have the same color and model bike, can you tell me how far the lowers come out from the engine? I have a highway bar on mine and IDK if I can use lowers, and still use my foot pegs.

Last spring I thought I had my left saddle locked in right, I didn't and it came off at 75 mph. it slid down the road on its door, and now i need another door, anyone have some just laying around?

well, the trailer was built in 1968, its an old camper trailer, the camper was through quite a few floods and trashed, but i'm thinking of building a teardrop on the old frame. so that's what I have to work with.

also, what happens when I want to just go camping with it, and want to haul water tanks, or firewood, would the trailer pull better if the camper was ahead of the payload, or behind the payload?

question is, if I put the camper on front, and the bike on back, would the camper outweigh the bike enough to make it pull right? i'd think the bike would outbalance the camper in my set up, but I'd be completely up for suggestions.

Looking to maybe someday build a teardrop toy hauler, but I don't know about hauling the bike sideways like this, sure I could strap it down fine, but how well would the fairing and windscreen hold up to the crosswind?

I u-bolted it to the brackets of the windjammer, not the best in a crash, but at a low speed, dumping it on its side, it held up enough to keep the fairing off the pavement. also held the bars at a slight forward angle. Me being tall, this helped for using highway pegs.

Cut some lexan tonight, a little shorter than planned due to a crack in my previous planned height, but can't wait to test it out at highway speeds.

how much air do these let through? do you think they let through as much as the rectangle ones? and do they seal pretty well when closed, in the rain?

I'd love some vents, I just don't want to spend $50 on them I thought about trying a rectangle, louvered style vent, but I'm not sure if it'd fit the windshield.

It may take some more work, but it still turned out nicely.
