Opinions on highway bars

My thoughts on hiway pegs.
If you like-um, use-um.
I have had them but I don't like them. First I do not like having my foot far from the brake, for me it is un-nerving.
Then I feel off balance with my feet kicked out there. I personally feel much more comfortable with weight on the bars, seat and pegs.
On an unrelated item, get behind a rider with ape hangers and hiway pegs and the sight is downright comical.

Over 30 years ago a car ran a red light while I happened to be in the intersection at the time. He T-Boned me. It totalled the bike but I walked away without a scratch. That bar saved my leg and most likely my life as well.
