Welcome, The seat bottom should just lift out. The back is held in via a rived hinge. The original cover is glued over molded foam so
careful not to damage the foam.
Ok time for an update.
After getting most of the frame done I sent the top body out for paint and started working on bike-side mounts.
I wanted to coat them the sane as the frame. When I went to get the body from the painter I was not pleased with what I saw.
hade a long talk with him and he...
Davivdj979; The upper mount uses a coupler nut to replace the shock nut. You then bolt the bracket to that and a U bolt.
The mounts I have are available for sale/trade as they don't fit my 1100.
As you can see the upper mount is too long because of where the side cover mounts on the 1100.
The trim-grip is 9 1/4" center to center. As for the bike side mounts the 1000 upper mount is slightly longer and the lower rear
is just over halve as long as the 1100s. The pics are of 1000 mounts.
Update on the bushings:
I couldn't find anything that hade the right dimensions at energysuspension so the hunt was on.
What i did find was a urethane bushing kit at Speedway Motors. they will have to be trimmed for over length but all the other
dimensions are right on. the part #is 721-B6031K
