I have the two Terraplane files on Craig's site. There has to be more than that. Saw mention in one of the posts about a parts list. A list of suitable 'alternative' parts would also be nice. I don't know of any files available 'here' except the ones attached to posts.

Keep in mind also, riding a hack or trike isn't the same as a 2 wheeler. That ST1300 looks nice. Way out of my wallet though.:(

That's all I see as well. No idea where to look for "private sale" prices, but they usually fall somewhere in between dealer trade and sell prices. I use eBay and craigslist to give me an idea of what private sellers are asking but the prices are all over the place. KBB just gives me a ballpark...

As the lid is plastic (ABS?) it appears that piece is for security and prevents the entire lock from turning when using the wrong key/screwdriver/etc. The 'finger' goes into a hole in the trunk that has a metal plate installed underneath.
