I have had this fairing on for two days and noticed that on the mileage portion of the trip meter I went from 53.7 MPG to 55.6 MPG. I rode the same or slightly faster than normal. All on the same roads as usual. Is this a added benefit of having the fairing even though it adds a little weight?

I don 't regularly check my mileage, but I have noticed the bike seems to move through the air more easily. Race bikes, which is where fairings originated, are faired for a reason.

I've noticed a 2 mpg drop in consumption, and the bike gets to 80mph a bit more easily than it did before.

I gave up on checking fuel mileage. When the tank is empty, I put more fuel in and repeat as often as possible. :D

My fuel mileage improved after I put a Windjammer on my Honda VLX 600. I removed one of those standard cruiser "brick in the wind" windshields in favour of the Windjammer. The Windjammer is significantly more aerodynamic that that thing was. I can also tell a difference in performance. I gained 10 miles per gallon jumping from 55 to 65 MPG. I'm very happy with it.
