Single downtube mounting?

My CB250 Nighthawk has a single front downtube frame, most similar to the Honda CM400 which we've seen in the movies with a purple knockoff copy of a WJ. I've seen mounts out there for CB350T,CB360,CB450T,CB500T,some small Kawasaki and Suzuki models and some Triumphs as well. I'm wondering how solid can a single downtube mount be? I'm thinking that some aft stays to the frame may be needed.
Does anyone have any wisdom on this?

You could run stays from the fairing mounting bracket to the front engine mount bracket. It would be easy to replace the stock engine bracket top bolt with a longer bolt and use that bolt to connect the stays.

That's a fine Idea, thank you Scott-E. I've got an early CB750 mount that I can copy the top flange from and clamp a saddle type attachment point to the top of the front down tube, with some stays going to the upper front engine mount bolt position, That'll certainly bear the weight of a Windjammer 5. But I was also thinking that from the back of the top flange on both sides perhaps I should have some horizontal stays that go between the top flange to the bike's frame beneath the tank, this would stiffen the mount to prevent the fairing from twisting on those front mounts. This may or may not be an issue, but I'd rather hash it out with 'those-in-the-know' before I actually build the thing.
