A few things I have learned riding behind a windshield the past 35 years....
- NEVER wash your windshield! By this I mean don't scrub it with anything like a wash mitt or a rag, you will get scratches. I have found a pressure washer or power car wash the best way to remove bugs, dirt, ect...

Not sure what bike you have, but many riders mount them to the crash bars. Might suggest using LED units, many early bikes have charging systems without a lot of reserve capacity.
Thanks for the response, that is what I was finding also. Didn't know if there was a preference, or anyone associated with the group who could use the support. So you can't get a windshield from Vetter if I live in the US?
I rode a 79 XS1100 year round in western Washington for 96,000 miles with lowers on, never had any overheating problems. I wonder if the channeling of the air close to the cooling fins helps?
Thanks for the welcome! I am sure the windscreen is custom made, I have never seen one with the wings on the side. Also it is a brownish tint too, very different. It is starting to crack at the center screw hole, I think I will replace it with a vented clear shield for daily use and save it for...
