Not doing the long distance Texas rides anymore. Endless hours on interstate with cross winds. Could dial in a neutral ride. Roads around Philly suburbs are short and not straight. So conditions change every 1/4 mile. It only takes a single grab sometimes two to adjust. I wouldn’t ride without.

    Vetter Forum Update

Keep up the effort. Hard enough to be a life long Vetter owner over the years. The Terraplane had just over 900 on the road in its day. I’ve yet to see another one in person. M/C mfg got into the touring accessory market in the 80’s and killed the likes of Craig, Bates, Calafia. Good to see...

Howdy Dave Less than 1,000 units made in early ’80s. You’re missing the instruction decal. Great for when you forget how to turn at 70 mph! Won’t be any help with structure mounting on bike side. Vetter’s primary client was larger early ’80s touring bikes. Mine current TP came on a naked ’82...

Welcome to the site from Pennsylvania. I had started a log of serial numbers last year. Died out after I accounted for only a handful of s/n. Compiled a spreadsheet of all pictures I could find online. What’s your number? How much do you know about the design? Ridden a hack before? Couple...

    Parts list/exploded diagram.

Can’t post pics again. Thought I figured that out. Tolomatic Airheart 175H caliper disc brake. I rebuilt with original orings. Small Displacement Master Cylinder 3115 series is not available I used MCP 18875 instead. Parts pages and info for all is still online

I only kept the rebuilt system functioning for a couple of weeks. Cramped around floor board and bike brake. Biggest issue was brake would ride around disc when applied. Raising the car and pushing bike to left. Anyone have this problem?

When I acquired the TP actually poured dust out of cylinder and caliper.

Evening, Wheelwright Look at the threads below. Google Terraplane windscreen. Even seen some ideas online to form your own design out of plexi. Or these guys. https://bikescreen.com/products/fairing-manufacturer-vetter-terraplane?srsltid=AfmBOooGj9nLwDjKA-UlkUzqOCNmfw3IGv5noiUPNc53XymD1ojsQC-5

Figured out how to send pics. I might be dangerous now. Wire loom wrap is too soft but good concept for easy grip.

Let’s give this a try. Changed a setting on my phone. There’s an upper rail right behind that edge the straps wrap around. Loops back to itself with a rivet.

Let me see where I put the clip. I’ve dog proofed the interior. My lid doesn’t really need secured. Rubber seal is sticky and wind holds it down at speed.

Not sure how I got that pic attached. That’s the best shot. Anyone with a TP doesn’t need to see the mount on my bike.
