Great news! Thank you for the penalties! Just found a mount to put a WJ on my xs11. Need to get 3 WJ's in a pic!
7835 Clausen Rd, Helena, MT 59601 PS - I'm still watching those new Vindicators! They have 5 silver ones. I think one would look good on the wall of the shop!
Good Judging Brian! Yes, it is a 79 750F. It was the first year of the 750 dohc motor. The 78 750F had the same silver Comstar wheels with the black sohc motor. Always nice to have multiple Windjammers in a picture!
Very nice! I had to do the same thing and also struggled with whether I should cut or not. That was a long time ago and I am very glad I did. You will really like them.
Thanks Craig! I was pretty sure they didn't come that way, but I didn't know for sure. Bought that fairing used in the 90's and have no idea what it came off of. Also, I completely agree that the WJ III silver with orange stripes was an amazing combination.
This is what I have. No highs or lows.
Trunks - 36-203623 and 36-204355
SS - 24-241061 (Did that decal on my profile pic ever come on a vetter or was it done later?)
IV - 37-501760 and the other I still need to check.
Lowers - 13-98388 and Kawi K35-010119

I'm pretty sure you can find a Windjammer bracket for your bike if you wanted a bigger fairing. The dohc 750 mount was a little different angle than the earlier 750's. One of my dohc 750's had the earlier mount on it to begin with. The windshield angle was a little off, but it functioned...

"All Windjammer/ Vindicator/ Kawasaki fairings were the essentially same... only the hardware was different for different bikes
Quicksilver Fairings used their own hardware, not the same as Windjammers

From Craig's site:
"Quicksilver brackets: Are different from the above line of fairings. [Windjammers were above] The Quicksilver was a smaller fairing, made mostly for 400cc sized bikes. But, each bracket was made specifically for a particular year and make motorcycle. There is no...
I too have an xs11 that I was thinking about doing that to. This is the link to the xs11 site with the info.

Mine have been on my cb750 for the last 15 years. But it rarely gets to 100 here. I have never noticed any heat issues even when riding long distances in the summer months.
Reminds me of a 77 Goldwing my dad had when I was a kid. I took my first multi day motorcycle trip with him on that bike. Out to Olympic National Park from Montana. I was ten. We had sleeping bags and a tent with us. Amazing how much would fit on that bike and in the fairing with both of...
That's funny! Yes you should definitely come this direction to ride sometime. I am fortunate to live where I do. 204 miles to West Glacier, 198 miles to East Glacier, and 189 miles to West Yellowstone.
