Uh oh... You said "Tesla"... I have built Tesla coils as a much younger man, and hold Mr. Tesla in high regard, both as a scientist and inventor. I'm also very happy that his laboratory "Wardenclyffe" is now in good hands, and that he will have the recognition he so richly deserves. His...
Brian, that's my problem too. For some weird reason, if I'm interested in something on eBay, a bloody bidding war ensues. I've been watching for some things for a while now, and I would fall back in it if they came up on eBay and I actually won the bidding, and could afford what I won...

Thanks guys!
Tom- There was a Hudson car built between 1932-'38 called "Terraplane". It is a rarity these days. Much like the Terraplane side car. I love hacks- always wanted to get a purpose-built hack rig like an IMZ or Ural "Patrol" model, and use it instead of a toad behind my converted...
Hello all!
Terraplane Tom replied to a post of mine with a pic of a panel that would mount inside a WJ fairing
about where a Cycle Sound would. With two gauges, and some other gear, it was called a Vetter
"Jetcockpit". In the pic a Motorola land mobile radio mic appears. Could this have been a...
Tom,
That looks like it would be one rare bird... from the looks of the Motorola mic, would this be something on a Police bike? I'm not sure if the Kawasaki KZ1100P series carried something like this but if it did, I'd look for one...
The mobile "head" unit would probably fit on top of a Cycle...
Thanks Tom!
That's kinda what I was thinking of doing. It would be worth getting a decent set of 'phones to dissect
for a project like this. After reading all about the Vetter comm set you have, and how the mic and speaker
install with velcro, I thought about doing something for my comm...
I'd love to see how you got the speakers mounted in your helmet. Mine is a full-face too. I'm thinking about doing some surgery... mwahahaha....
Seasons Greetings!
Mark
I'm following this with interest. Adding a Cycle Sound to "Red" would be sweet. The head unit would have to be a "mech-less" type (no CD, USB/mp3 connect capability, touchbutton controls, detachable face) with a weather cover. I like the helmet jack install. Wouldn't mind seeing pics of that...
Interceptors are great rigs... I wouldn't mind owning one.
If I could find a wrecked one for parts, I'd be happy to find the foot boards, shifter and brake linkage and pedals, and the sub frames they mounted on, so I could adapt them to my '83 KZ1100 A-3.
Mark
Just curious...
Any other hams here in V.O.G.?
I'm new to V.O.G., and my bike is an '83 Kawasaki KZ1100 A-3, fully Vetterized from the dealership it came from, and I'm its third owner. When I got "Voodoo Red", an extra set of Vetter bags and their brackets came with her. I've been going...
