    Calling All Vetter Keys

Found this place, not sure if they are talking about the same type of keys (CxxxA series) as there is no actual photo of the keys. I don't believe getting a blank cut here in the UK is going to be easy...

    Vetter breaker UK Shipping

Thanks for looking that out for me,much appreciated, just had a quick look round Ebay and recon the 2 indicators and screen will be about £200 to source from the US and get shipped here so I think I will probably prefer to get one complete. Last thing I want is to to get indicators and stuff...

    Vetter breaker UK Shipping

Thanks for that, I have also been looking at a mounting kit which I may be able to source from a dealer in the US for $80 including shipping it is a Kawasaki part K46000-304 for the KZ1000e, would anyone know if the Kawasaki fairing had the same mounting points as a WJ please?

    Vetter breaker UK Shipping

If its complete it may be a easier option than getting parts to finish one off here although I am open to any suggestions, am I right in thinking the main difference is the lowers are specific to the 5 only?

    Vetter breaker UK Shipping

I could well be, do you have a photo and which parts are missing please? Missing parts that would be a minor problem for you to source there maybe difficult to get here. Does the screen need to be for a "4" or "SS" or would another model fit?

    Vetter breaker UK Shipping

Probably a 4 in black or the ones that were made specifically for Kawasaki later on, I did find the one below on Ebay but when I contacted the guy he did not want the problems of shipping to the UK which is understandable. Bike is 1980 Z1000ST, about the same as the KZ1000 Shaft "ST" or "E" from...

    Vetter breaker UK Shipping

Hi, does anyone know of a US dealer / breaker that ships large items such as a fairing to the UK, looking for a Windjammer or similar and mount for my Z1000ST (KZ1000 Shaft) (KZ1000E). Almost impossible to find anything here in the UK.

Never heard of an Auxilary fuel tank in the seat hump before as it states in the ad litrature, pillion beware!

    Unknown full fairing on XS250

Unfortunately pre-digital cameras so I don't have many images of these old fairings.

"other" Rickman fairings on my Z1000ST

Same Z1000ST with 2 different Rickman fairings from about 1984, top picture was when it was a Yoshimura 1100 with cams and pistons to match along with expensive Harris exhaust.

    Rickman Polaris fairing on Z1000ST

With my welding I would probably end up with it on my lap at about 80mph, or see it disappear over my head!

    Rickman Polaris fairing on Z1000ST

Thanks for the comments, unfortunately the fairing went some years ago so now looking for a replacement either Vetter or another Rickman, I can probably find a fairing in the UK on Ebay but there never seems to be a suitable mounting bracket. This seems strange as a lot of the marketing...

    Z1000ST Trunk

Thanks for that, would have been easier if the trunk mounting points were the same distance apart front and rear. Also its a 4mm thick plate which was maybe a bit over the top!

    Z1000ST Trunk

The plug and socket have 3 holes but only 2 are wired, maybe because it was made for export to the UK as we do not have red indicator signals here, they would have to be amber.

    Z1000ST Trunk

I have been looking at the wiring, its got a 2 pin plug so I have wired up the rear light bulbs to the tail light and they work fine, the yellow wires for the 21w stop lamps have been cut off very short (at manufacture I assume), is this normal? Don't know if this was done on certain orders to...

    Z1000ST Trunk

Hi they are called Stauff clamps, had some from when I worked for an engineering company. They are normally used to hold industrial pipework. This is their website in the USA http://www.stauffusa.com/ You do sometimes see them on Ebay as well but normally quite pricey. They are excellent quality...
