Hi all and thanks for the accept.

The lads in the KZ1300 forum led me to here, so may thanks to some great enthusiasts.

I own Raidermoto.com a specialist motorcycle company in Coffs Harbour NSW on Australia's east coast. We're restorers & custom designers/builders. We have a client's 1979 Kawaka KZ1300 that's been Vetter kitted.

At earlier time someone has lost the original top-box brackets & mounts, and I'm hoping someone may have pics of what was Craig used.

Cheers in advance, Moz

The Mounting bracket usually follows the Tail trunk through life. But if as in your case they get separated then it would not be hard to fabricate a bracket in your Machine Shop.

Very rarely only the brackets them selves pops up 4-sale on auction sites.
At least in Europe.

Edit: Where is my manners,,, Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum. From Camperdown Victoria Australia

Cant help you with that. I've known a Z1300 expert for many years Gert Roewer now in his 80's. Let the owner know as he's a knowledgeable guy to know and is on facebook. He has pulled apart and rebuild many engines.. in the Albury area. My trike see pics is still waiting for final engineer approval

Hi Tony & Kjell, sorry for late reply, I have been away riding the Aussie bush :)

Thanks Tony for the reference to Gert, I'll definitely reach out if we have more head-scratching & I'll pass on his details to my client, for same reason. Love the trike!! Was this built under ICV legislation for NSW or VIC rego?

Thanks for tech imagery Kjell, we fabricated something similar to the Vetter unit, but as the owner's carrier frame was majorly different to the Vetter frame, we had to be a bit creative. We're reasonably happy with the outcome as too is the owner. As he didn't want to use the Windjammer fairing we went for a huge front light & large duel chrome horns to bulk up the frontal appearance & help balance the appearance of topbox. We're just waiting on front blinker brackets to fit large period correct blinkers up front. Some new Nikon shocks, heavier front YSS springs & PD valve kit are next, then she'll be a runner and touring the Ozzie landscape.

My trike is under ICV Victoria. Should be registered by March 2026. Im going to add fairing lowers eventually but not vetter, my own long ones.

I think the vetter looks much better than the modern batwing things

Hi Tony & Kjell, sorry for late reply, I have been away riding the Aussie bush :)

That red frame looks interesting .
I campaigned in the early eighties a Kawasaki 1000 with a french built Moto Martin frame that looked not 100% like yours but very similar.

Also the central tubular spine frame from EGLI have similarities to your frame.
