Thanks to MN80CX500 I now have a new spring. It worked fantastic.

Yep, and very nicely I might add. It is very strong. My old spring was much more flexible, the new one is more rigid and doesn't fall on my hands.

Agreed, and is why I took one of the bar clamps off my Rooster and took pix to post when someone asked.

Technical knowledge is very important, and its really cool we can document and grow our databases. There is so much more technical info I want to post, however I am in-between houses. Living in a rental right now and all my Vetter goodies are in storage, and I don't have my tools. So, in about a year and a half after the construction of the house I will have a small shop and all my goodies at hands reach. Then it will be an sick and twisted open window to my brains obsession with the Vetter world (I think obsession is bad... right?).

Hi, I am in need of a spring for the trunk lid. The bag and trunk set that I got to me didn't come with the spring.

Here is the spring size. Looks like 1/2" wide and 8" long. The bends are a little less then 1/2" out to attach to the clips. This spring is a bit more rigid and a tad thicker then the original (see comparison above). See image below for measurements.
