Photo taken in 1978 a few weeks before I joined the Armed Forces.
I was 19 later that year.

The bike was bought from a classmate that had rebuilt it with an ex Sidecar racing engine.
Hepolite high compression pistons, 4S camshaft, rejetted Amals, glassfibre fuel tank and seat and clip-ons.
I think the fueltank was a British made Gus Kuhn item, but could be wrong.

Geared for 211 km/h at redline.
Had just enough money left to buy a Römer integral helmet and some motorcycle gloves, I also got for free some worn out Daytona motorcycle boots from another mate of mine.

A good day was when I could fill up that fueltank and go riding, and perhaps even buy a sandwich,,,

Not the best bike to start riding on.
Never crashed that one though.

Ok so it has nothing to do with Vetter, but I put the picture and story up here so that You forum members got a few minutes of reading.

Cheers/Kjell
