I didn't end up trying the headlight restoration stuff but I did try a turtlewax rubbing compound and it made no noticeable difference at night. I've thought about wetsanding and buffing I just haven't committed to it. Let us know if you do!
I really like how that windjammer looks on that bike! I'll have to do some measuring and see if shortening it up some makes sense. It has been above average heat here in upstate NY, so I would definitely like to get some air moving behind that big wall.
How is the wind buffering? One of my pet peeves about windshields that are just to short is that they shake your head all over the place. I would really like to cut one of my windshields down but don't dare to for that reason. I do like not necessarily having to wear glasses behind the tall...
If you use autowax or rubbing compound, might it take out some of those little scratches that make it difficult to see at night? My wind screen is in decent shape, but when the sun goes down and I'm riding at night, its tough to see as cars get closer. I wondered if rubbing compound would help...
Well it's been slow going for the last couple weeks. I finally got my 'tins' back from the painters. I got the pieces all installed, I just have to wait a little longer before I reinstall the emblems as the clear still seems a little tacky. I have decided to keep the luggage lids as they were...
Generally, I carry my S&W Shield 40 in an Aliengear inner waist band holster at about 7:30/8:00. The only time carrying this way on the bike gets annoying is when you had that extra sandwich and your pants are fitting a little too snug.
I live in NY, so its concealed all the time. No...
They're just plastic covers or accent pieces, I believe. They seem like they're glued on, I don't want to pull too hard on them for fear of breaking them.
The lights I have are the fully plastic ones, that I do know.
I am half tempted to replicate this solution, looks very clean and adds a modern touch:

Plus LED will help with the already lackluster...
You're correct. The chrome piece that I took off the trunk rack that came with it is exactly what you have linked above. I made my own riser that clamps to my stock GL1000 bumper.
As for pictures of the tail lights, I don't have that shows the lights all that well. I have attached a couple...
The trunk is definitely a vetter trunk too. The previous owner just took the hole sissy bar off of the donor bike and left it all attached. The brackets that held all the luggage and racks to the bike were definitely from another variety of motorcycle, but after a little cutting and welding...
