Windjammer on a GL1200

Really like the looks of the one-year-only 1984 GL1200 standard. Anyone ever see one with a WJ5 on it? Was a mounting kit made for such an install? I have this "vision" of one...not that I even own a GL1200 standard.

Didn't those come with a crazy full dress Honda setup on them also? Post a pic of the bike you are referring to naked.

I have not found a mount for a Windjammer and I have been looking. I have seen ONE 1200 Standard that had a Windjammer on it but the guy took an 1100 mount and modified it to fit the 1200. After riding one of these naked (the bike... not the rider! ) you realize that a naked GoldWing really does move.

I do like the way those bags looks on that bike...I have no doubt that a WJ5 would look right at home.

That is my fear because the WJ 5 that I am bought (but haven't got it from my friend yet) is black with gold stripes.

Yes! Those bags are nice on that bike and the shape matches great.

I like the bags as well, the angles fit that bike well.

Saw a mount for an '84 GL1200 on eBay about a year ago. $140.00 shipped IIRC. Suspect few were made.

Wow....I bought those mounts off of Ebay a while ago and mounted a Windjammer then a Windstar then a Rabid transit!
