I have what I believe to be a complete Fairing with the exception of the wiring harness that connects the lights on the fairing to the bike. Also to properly fit does the stock headlight bucket have to be removed .

I had a R75 /6 and R90/6 both of which retained the bucket and the light and ring was used on the Faring itself. BMW and maybe others sold a rubber bucket cover that was self sealing to protect the bucket. You could remove the faring and put the light back in the bucket and ride free in a very short time. My current R90/6 has a weird box instead of the bucket and I have trouble sealing itj to keep the wiring dry. I also cannot remove the faring to ride without a majoy bucket project to complete first including buying hundreds of dollars in bucket part.

That’s very enlightening Doug. The bucket cover answers an important question. This fairing has a sealed beam, So the bucket on the bike isn’t needed.
