Evening, TP rigs

Has anyone categorized the current and known Vetter cars? With under 1,000 TPs built how hard could this be. He said looking down a rabbit hole.

I thought I would first search web for pics and paste into spreadsheet with notes on where pic is from and other info I can glean. Lots of numbers are mentioned on this forum and others. So I can plug those in as I read through.

Any suggestions? Am looking at photo apps for storage, but will start with Excel.

This is my second one. 4 years old to me on 10 year old ‘83 Interstate. Took a few years off bikes to raise a daughter. Had new from dealer unit on ‘82 Asp back a few lifetimes ago.

Have unit # 07100322 in Kansas City. any ideas on mfg date?

Let me put this out here first. I’m certainly not a TP expert.

Mfg dates have been listed from very late 70’s to very early 80’s. With only around 900 units built, could safely average out 200-250 per year. With that data can at least put mfg date close to a year.

My current rig is #493. Was mounted on 81’ Naked GL. Not sure how long they were mated. Thought it was 498 until I scrubbed the S/N plate!!

My original TP rig mounted on 82’ Aspencade bought new in late 81’ must have been one of the last ones made. Rig’s been long gone with no records.

Anyone else with notes?

I spent a few hours last month pulling every TP picture from the web. Only came up with around 150. Probably with a few duplicates. Lots of other blogs, links, and forums with serial numbers mentioned. Might try to capture those into a list if I get bored over the summer. Just not sure how to efficiently.
