Bought these 78 fairings and the rest and going to mount them on my 02 Shadow. I know im going to have to fabricate the brackets to mount but just wanted to share this project im starting. Got all these parts for $200. Placed them on the bike just to get a temp mock look. I think once i get everything in place and then painted it'll look pretty good.

I put a Windjammer 4 fairing, bags, and trunk on my 2006 Honda VT600 Shadow. I did it in 2015 and love it! Back in the late 70's I had a CX500 setup the same way. I had both the common problems the CX500 bikes had. Stators and water pump seals going bad. The VT600 Shadow is a much better motorcycle and it's even nicer with the Vetter gear mounted on it.

Man insaw your pictures on Pinterest and thats what inspired me to do mine. Wow thus is pretty awesome. How did you mount them? Did you have to fabricate new bravkets. Any help would be really appreciated.

I had to design and fabricate brackets for the fairing, bags, and trunk. If you go to Craig Vetter's Windjammer page he describes how to do that for modern bikes like the VLX Shadow. There are lots of pictures showing how others have done it on lots of bikes made after production of Windjammers ended in the early 80's. I fabricated a bracket for the bags and trunk as well. I used 1" channel iron that used the 4 screws (2 on each side) that hold the chrome bars that mount the saddle and rear turn signal lights. They extend far enough to the rear to provide a rack behind the saddle and passenger seat pad. The saddlebag brackets mount to that channel iron as does the trunk mounting hardware and plate. There is very little of the motorcycles frame that extends behind those 4 screws so you must provide that support because the bike frame was never designed to have a rear rack mounted to it. As for the fairing, you'll need to mount it as low as possible due to the low seating position and even then you sit much lower behind it than it was designed for. I like to look over the windshield so my windshield sticks up just a few inches above the top windshield screws.
