Hi, as I had to see while installing my luggage - there are varying distances between frame and luggage.
Therefore you should order those rubbers in diverse lengths between 15mm and 25mm to adjuste the luggage properly.
remove the old isolators, drill a hole in the frame, tap a thread and install new isolators like the attached.
Dia about 20mm, height 15mm, thread M6 - should be available in the US as well in maybe similar imperial...
Need to adjust the trunk somewhat to follow the declining line of the saddlebags.
And - I need the correct chrome bar on the side of the righthand saddlebag. Anybody willing to sell that in good condition?
I agree with you.... those orange turn signals disturb the design. Therefore I am thinking about grey/smoked lenses with bulbs in orange.
Meanwhile the trunk is installed, too. The saddle bags are in preparation, they need some adjustment with the hot air gun.
here is again a very uncommon fairing under the name "Vetter windjammer" - even with Vetter stickers on it...

Today I was dis mantling the fairing.
Under the cycle sound box I found a sticker from A&B fibreglass productions from Huntington Beach, CA.....OK the dream of a really old Windjammer passed away:tomato.

Had a look at craigs page. According his information, my fairing must be one of the very first - made between September and November 71 as there is no serial number plate. I will look for the scratched in number tomorrow.
big surprise, just picked up the fairing - that one is old, really old. It‘s not made of ABS but made of fiberglas!!! Seems to be in quite good shape, photos will follow.
Did not find any number plate. Where do I have to look for a serial number?
