Rickman Polaris for Z1000ST

Just purchased this for the Z1000ST, pickup on Saturday a 3 hour drive but better than mail cost from US, just need a frame mount now and the project will begin. I may look at getting hold of a Vetter frame as the mounting area looks similar and may just need a bit of adjusting heightwise and some new holes.
Its off a BMW R100, the guy had to get a new screen so used part of the old one to make an adjustable extension, looks quite a good idea.

This one has flexible pocket covers so I will be on the lookout for a set of locking hard covers, the guy believes the slot in the front was for mounting a radio at some time.

Now awaiting Windjammer mounting bracket from US for KZ1000 Shaft, should fit my UK bike ok.
May get lucky and find fairing mounting height is similar, if not hopefully Vetter will be lower so I can make packers to raise to Polaris height.

Well now I have 2 Polaris Fairings, just purchased the one below and should be here early next week, maybe I should look at starting a Rickman Owners site.

This is the Twin headlight version of the Rickman Polaris with locking hard covers (no keys or course), still searching for lowers to fit. UPS tracking says the Vetter mount has left O'Hara Airport on the way to the UK!

I really like the lines of the top fairing. Very cool how the fairing windshield is adjustable too. I dig all fairings, even the crazy looking dual headlight model you posted. Thanks for sharing the pics. I will be interested in seeing it once you get at mounted on the bike.

I would probably like to fit the twin headlight version firstly as its lines fit better with those of the square Z1000st tank and side panels and secondly as searching the net I cannot find any other pictures of a twin headlight Polaris fitted so may be quite rare. Will keep you posted, WJ mounting frame has now arrived at Heathrow Airport UK!

In the photos, that looks like the same lines at the bottom as a WJ. I wonder how Vetter Lowers would mate up to that fairing.

Maybe the Rickman Brothers took some WJ measurements when they started! If I see a WJ lower here in the UK at the right price I will buy it and let you know.

Have you ever washed an engine block in the bathtub... :rad

Just make sure you do it when the wife is away for several days to let the bathroom cleaner soak to remove that nasty oil ring. :D

Well been busy on replacing wiring behind the headlight today, removed the old wiring and additional headlight relays as I already have these fitted on the bike.

Rear of the lighting enclosure as it was, the 2 rusty brackets were the remains of the relay mounts on the original.
The fitting on the left is the mount for the end of the headlight angle adjustment, pivots on the bracket at the front.
