I started travelling with Vetter products in the early eighties with my XS11. Always wanted a Terraplane to complete the package. Still have the XS and a couple of other Yamahas. Purchased this Goldwing and Terraplane in the fall of 2014. Mike

I'll check into that marine wax! Thanks for the lead.
Is that an Eskie sitting in the seat of the sidecar? My little fur-girl is an Eskie and loves to ride.
Nothing better than a fully Vetterized 'Wing! Sweet!

The idea of the pop-vents is a great one until you hit rain. They don't keep out all of the water, but sure are nice in hotter weather.

My dog is an Aussie-poodle mix and she took to the sidecar quite quickly. We are both new to sidecars so learning as we go. She sits on a solid sand filled pad and blanket that raises her so her head is above the windscreen where she likes it. This also adds a bit of weight to the sidecar. Re: the vents, they are a mystery to me as to wether they were ordered from factory that way or owner installed.

Those are the same vents that come on Vetter windshields, so it's hard to say if they came from the factory that way, or owner-added. I've never seen them on any other Terraplane, but I'm surprised I haven't. I may add a scoop-type vent that feeds into the body along the lower section near the feet and will also drain off any water before it gets to the inlet inside. I'm doing some drawings to fabricate up a heater system to tap into my engine's water system and have a blower motor.

Climate controlled Terraplane! Interesting ideas for passenger comfort on those hot and cold days.
