    You might want to add the rubber mounts between the trunk and plate. Also round the corners for safety.
    Looks like an 80 kz1000 shaft?

    Hi, not very clear on the photos but the rubber mounts are in place, on the photo "Trunk Mount" you can just see the studs poking through, as its a solid plate I had to add a couple of large repair penny washers onto each stud to ensure the plate and the rack mounting bolts cleared the plastic underside of the trunk. The plate fits inside the dimensions of the bottom of the trunk so I don't think the corners will be a problem as they are no accessible.

    Yes you would call it KZ1000 shaft, here it was the Z1000ST, a few diffences such as the "Z" rear indicators are on stalks on the number plate bracket, no pumper on the carbs and no emission gear on the rocker cover or air box. The rear mudguard is a KZ short version as I have not found a long UK one with reflector yet so I fitted a KZ rear light which has the reflector built in.
